Staying with the war theme, I decided to add a pin to the bottle, making more like a grenade. When this pin is removed, the user has a golden bullet with Flowerbomb printed along the side. The bullet would be easy to take in your handbag or purse, and would be refillable.

Leaving Cert Project part 2
For the second part of the project, we had to design a modification for the existing bottle, or a completely new concept. I had wanted to do a gun-like bottle with refillable cartridges as bullets (as the most expensive part of perfume is the bottle itself, cartridges would be cheaper), but it just didn't seem practical. Instead, I chose to modify the existing bottle.
Leaving Cert Project
I did the Leaving Cert last year (end of school exams in Ireland). For our technical drawing project, we had to research, sketch and design (on Solid Works) a 3D rendering of a perfume bottle already on the market (including the inside mechanism and accurate dimensions). I chose the Flowerbomb bottle, because of its grenade shape.
Spaghetti Bridge
Apart from a six hour drawing exam, this was probably the most challenging thing we had to do in the design studio in semester one - make a bridge out of spaghetti that would span a 1 metre gap between two tables. The aim of this project was to get a better understanding of structural forms and, in my opinion, to make us cry. The building of this took 30 hours, and a portfolio of research and sketching also had to be submitted. Unfortunately, the lecturers tested the strength of the bridge with a point load, but it still held twice its weight and we got extra marks for the appearance of it, due to the curves.
